"Why wouldn't I?" He chuckles, welcoming Hythlodaeus back into his arms once the nightstand business is taken care of. "I have always been a staunch supporter of your creative efforts."
Of course he would never abuse his power over Hythlodaeus either. Not for any reason, be they in this city or not. In his eyes they are quite equal. In fact, Hythlodaeus is better than him in many ways.
"Besides, it's fun for me as well. I clearly benefit." His body may be protesting, but the rest of him sure isn't.
"Heheh... yes, I can see that." He brushes some of Hades' hair from his face and cuddles in close. "It can be just between the two of us... I don't want to hear about that collar being used with anybody else."
The same way he'd never want Emet-Selch to mingle aether with anyone else. Sharing their bodies is one thing, but their very souls... no, those are to be shared with one another only.
"Please. As if I would give anyone else the pleasure." He almost snorts, finding the thought amusing. No, everyone else only gets to see the confident, dominant side that craves control. Hythlodaeus gets all parts of him, there is no question. Really, sex in general only matters with Hythlodaeus most of the time. Though he's beginning to enjoy it a little more than in previous lives where it was only duty.
"You have always been the only one." He murmurs dreamily, eyes closed as if he contemplates drifting to sleep.
"Always?" The thought warms him, and he closes his eyes in turn. "...As have you, love. How could I have ever settled for anyone else when my heart was so thoroughly claimed by you?"
He yawns, feeling the similar need to sleep. "Rest now. I will be here when you wake."
"Always. Even when you were not there," He mumbles, drifting into sleep's haze. He would want to argue that Hythlodaeus could have had anyone, could still have anyone, but he's happy enough keeping the man all to himself without contest for now.
"You had better be," he opens his eyes suddenly at Hythlodaeus' insistence he will be there when he awakens. "Or I'll have words." And that is that. As if Emet-Selch doesn't always have words about something.
"Of course you will, my dear." He chuckles tiredly, before letting himself slip off into a light sleep. He has no intention of leaving until Emet-Selch wakes, and perhaps that's for the best. As much as Emet-Selch loves to complain, and as much as Hythlodaeus seems to enjoy giving him reasons to do so, he doesn't really want to leave his side any time soon.
