_{[And in ten minutes Hermes is at Emet-Selch's door, knocking politely, waiting for the man to open the door. He isn't dressed in anything fancy but then again...he doesn't actually own anything fancy save for the outfit Emet-Selch had given him.]}

[ He's not fancy either but he is fashionable in a casual morning-outing sort of way.

He offers Hermes a smile. ]

Good morning, Hermes.

Shall we be off? It shouldn't take too long to walk to.

_{[At least one thing Hermes is good at is setting a course to follow.]}

[snapping]

Yes. You're sure you don't wish for Hythlodaeus to come along?

[ He knows you are ... attached. Honestly doesn't expect Hermes to want to spend time with him alone of his own volition. ]

Today I wish to simply have your company, if that is all right with you of course.

_{[Look he can want one on one time with you too Emet!!!]}

[snapping]

... Of course it is.

[ He's not pleasantly surprised... baka. You better not say anything. ]

Alright then, lead the way.

_{[Nodding he leads Emet-Selch out of the apartments and down the street a few blocks. It doesn't take long to find the little shop. It's rather quaint and the smell of freshly baked goods and brewed coffee is enticing to say the least.]}

This is the place.

[snapping]

Well, look at that.

[ He pauses to appraise the establishment before they step inside. It indeed looks very quaint. But even the dramatic Emet-Selch can appreciate comfortable hideaways like this once in a while. ]

_{[Even The Drama needs something a bit more low-key from time to time, no? Leading the two of them to the counter Hermes gestures for Emet-Selch to make his order, doing the same after he's made a selection. Once given their drinks and food the two make a beeline for a table near the window. A bit of morning sun was always a welcome sight, especially in a quaint little cafe like this.]}

[snapping]

[ The Drama does need a rest sometimes. Though he definitely still orders a complicated drink because he has to be a little extra somehow. Once he has his own order though he follows over to their table and takes a seat. ]

I am glad you decided to invite me.

[ He thought Hermes would sooner pee his pants in fear than initiate something with Emet-Selch by himself tbh. ]

I figured we were long overdue for spending a bit of time together.

_{[Usually they spent time in one another's company with Hythlodaeus in tow, not alone. The chocolate croissant on Hermes' plate is eagerly bit into, flakey pastry an utter delight.]}

[snapping]

Yes, I would say we are.

[Obviously he loves Hythlodaeus' company, but he would like to work on his relationship with Hermes alone from time to time, too. Convocation things and such, even if neither of them are about to talk about that.

He takes a sip of his too-complicated coffee. ]

It's got quite a pleasant flavor.

[flawful]

_{[It's a mutual feeling, of wanting to get to know Emet-Selch better. After all it isn't as if he isn't interested in the man - he's incredibly knowledgeable about so much and it's true that Hermes looks up to him...how could he not?]}

It's quite tasty. I cannot help but be fond of the flaky pastry.

[snapping]

I'm surprised there aren't any apples in it.

[ No he will never stop teasing Hermes about this.

He holds out his drink. It's super extra with crunchy cinnamon bits and frothy foam done to his specifications, and just the right ratio of syrups. It's not because he likes it that way, it's because he likes the chaos of asking for it. ]

Would you like to try it?

[flawful]

_{[Haha very funny.]}

Oh yes, I would.

_{[He reaches to take the drink from Emet-Selch, raising the lip of the cup to take a sip. It's quite delicious. Sweet...but if Hermes was honest it could be sweeter.]}

Delightful. Would you like to try mine?

[ yes it's hilarious :( ]

Isn't it just.

[ He nods his approval, taking his drink back after. ]

Alright. What did you get?

[ And is he going to die of how sweet it is? Time will tell. ]

_{[He won't die!! But it is sweet...no surprise there. He holds it out for Emet-Selch to take from him.]}

It's called a pumpkin spice latte. It doesn't taste like pumpkins however.

[snapping]

What? [ He scoffs lightly. ] Then what is the point?

[flawful]

I haven't a clue. _{[Does he look like a marketing guru to you Emet-Selch?]} But it does taste quite good.

[snapping]

Alright, let me try. [ He should be a marketing guru, he's gotta sell all those concepts to the bureau and hope for the best!!

But Emet-Selch takes the drink and has a careful sip, handing it back again as he ponders its flavor. ]

Hmph. Pretty good, actually.

[flawful]

Delightful, no?

_{[Emet-Selch's admittance to the drink's flavour being quite good has Hermes chuckling lightly under his breath.]}

This place does have rather curious cuisine. I have to say it is one aspect of this realm I enjoy.

[snapping]

It is.

[ Surprisingly so.

His eyebrows lift. ]

Really? I am glad to hear that, Hermes! I am more than happy to explore the cuisine along with you, as we have that in common.

[flawful]

_{[Then again maybe he shouldn't be so surprised.]}

I would be quite happy to explore what this realm has to offer when it comes to culinary delights.

[snapping]

Yes, of course.

[ He gives a nod, smiling. ]

I thought I had more or less tried some variant of everything, but this realm has proven me wrong. I like that.
